One solution to the problem of the eyelid covering the inner corner of the eye is to open the eye's corner upwards. Many Asians suffer from a condition called "mongolian fold" where the skin covers the white part of the inner corner of the eye, obstructing the formation of eyelid lines around the inner corner. However, advanced surgical expertise is necessary because removing too much eyelid can affect the ability to close the eyes.
